Lol actually my UTAUloid doesnt know her real name so that was given due to the meaning ^^;;

Please don't go complain about her Japanese name. >8| I made her up when the only non-Japanese UTAU I knew was Zanda since it was early 2009 and back then it wasn't a problem. Besides, my other UTAUs (yes, I voiced more) have names that are Egyptian and English. I tried to think up a different name for her, but I couldn't make one up that I found fitting.

She has quite the crush on Ritsu Namine, who's her frequent singing partner.
Truthfully, she's a Shinigami, but is not allowed to tell anyone, which is where the concept of being an ESP'er came from so she has something to fall back on if she ever has to do something physically impossible in public.

She and her brother are Shinigami, and were born in 1874. Since becoming Shinigami they lived in various countries, taking on different names to match where they lived. The first modern singers they saw were the Kagamine twins and now idolize them, which is why their outfits purposely look somewhat similar.

Well, i'm kind of against the whole "worship the kagamine" thing, but thats probably because I just hate len fangirls XDDD Also, they do look too much like the kagamine's, even if you do want them to really like them. My UTAU absolutely IDOLIZES Meiko, but does her outfit look anything like her? nope So I would maybe try to add a little pazazz to their appearance, even if you want them to like the kagamine's, maybe choosing a school themed outfit, but not the same as their's would be better? It would show they still want to be like them, but they have their own style too.

Maybe something like this for the girl? (just as an example)

Well, I think her voice is nice, but it sounds just a little too breathy for my personal taste. Have you tried playing with breath and other UTAU settings when making her sing?

As for the design: No offence meant, but to me the art is a turn off. I don't mind the colour schemes, but clothes and pose are so blatantly based off of Rin and Len that it makes me lose interest in them right away. I personally prefer UTAUs drawn in non-Vocaloid poses and not with the obvious KEI style referencing. I don't mind KEI style references, but it's a bit too similar for me right now.

I actually quite liked her personality, until the hidden identity thing peeked around the corner. An UTAU claiming to be an ESP-er sounds really fun to me (especially when used as comedy relief), but making her a shinigami in disguise eliminates those bonus points. I'm also not too hot about them copying the Kagamines because they idolize them - a lot of professional singers don't do this. (Beyoncé doesn't copy Lady Gaga, just to give an example. Not counting Videophone and Telephone because those are duets.) Though I -DO- like that you don't call the producer a professional.



Personally I AM guilty of having KEI inspired UTAUs, but while Yuki started off as a pretty obvious Miku reference (though with shorter boots, thigh highs, fingerless gloves instead of sleeves, a chain instead of the triangle bands and shorts instead of a skirt), she did evolve into an UTAU that looks way less similar than before.

Personality: Mai-chan is what I call the lovable idiot. She's bright and pretty well-rounded, but extremely clueless at times. If you destroy a toaster pastrie, she'll snap into 'Yami Mai' (Which is kinda a play on surnames since 2 of her 'family' have the surname 'yami'). Yami Mai will beat you up.

But my faaaavorite pairings are her and her brother Masaru, and her and Kiyoshi Sankakukaine. Since I'm not very familiar with too many other UTAU users, I've never paired her up with any others. Overall, your UTAU looks pretty cute^^ But I don't really think that the color of the sleeves work with the rest of the outfit. Maybe change it up a bit? Since her name is about the sound of a flute, maybe give her a more sheer, "floating" kind of look?

And regarding her voice; it's very nice and pleasant to listen to. However, some sounds are muffled while others are mispronounced. (ex. 'shi' is pronounced like 'ji') And her oto might need to be fixed up a bit^^

I'll probably change their outfits around because I see where you're coming from with them looking too much like the Kagamines.
Also I love the second school uniform that Amagaku posted. <3 ((...Also, I kinda want to give Yoshiya glasses. Do not know why.))

The hidden identity thing... I suppose it's a bit cliche but that's the one part of their backstory I do not want to change. ;;

Their idolization of the Kagamines is solely because of the fact that, after being out of Japan for a really really long time, the first modern Japanese music they were introduced to was a song by the Kagamines. And neither of them crush on Len so it's all good here. *bricked*

...I really like KEI style. And not just because of the Vocaloids, I honestly just love his art. It's also the style I'm best at doing on the computer, and since I am without a scanner at the moment... I'll remedy the obvious-copy-of-twins-pose-is-obvious though.

I like yaoi and all but I have to agree that there aren't enough girl/girl pairings in the UTAU world.
I'm not that much of a fan of yuri and all, but there are countless gay male UTAUs (basically any that are voiced by girls ;; ) and, now that I know Yuki, a whopping TWO lesbian female UTAUs.
Yume and Yoshiya are officially "bisexual" but it's because they have no conscience of the whole sexuality thing.

I think it's mostly because some of the OTOs need to be fixed, and that's the reason why she sounds like she's stumbling, or some syllables sound mispronounced.

I don't know if I'm willing to change her again, as she is already in groups and stuff, but if I do, I'll change her arm warmers to black. I can also give a little let in the skirt part and make it seem a bit floatier, and change some opacity here and there.
