For a commercial?

I thought most model creators didn't want their models used for commercial purposes, but perhaps I'm wrong...
Spoiler

Most(if not all) model modelers forbid commercial use of their model data.
If you make your own models from scratch, it depends on the modelling program's TOS.

For example, Metasequoia, either Free or registered edition allows the commercial use of the model you make, just as long it is 100% yours.
I think same goes for Blender.
For others like Maya, 3Ds max and Cinema4D, you have to buy a full licence for commercial use.

I think it's fine as long as you're not using their propriety format like .ma/.3ds//c4d
It would be strange if they will go after you if you export it in a different format like .obj

Maya's student edition (which is free for 3 years as long as you prove you are a student) only puts a nag screen (non commercial, this file was made on student edition..blah blah) on .ma files made under it.

don't quote on me this tho
