Or not, haha.
1. The Scarlet Devil ~ Remilia Scarlet
Why is she my favorite character? Remilia has class; sure, nowadays she might be made out to be the uptight, bratty-type, but I don't really see it. She has that one factor of elegance. When you play against her in EoSD, she's elegant. Her theme is elegant. Her danmaku patterns are elegant. And her looks? By far one of my favorite anime-esque characters of all time. Oh, and she is a vampire. That helps too.
2. The Youkai that is God ~ Yukari Yakumo
Yukari is by far one of the most interesting characters in the Touhou series. Her ability is complete and total reality-hax; she can manipulate the border between ANYTHING. It's really hard to grasp, too. Like, what the hell is the border between life and death? What would happen if it were to dissipate? We wouldn't understand unless it actually happened, but Yukari knows. Oh, yes. Yukari knows.
HER NAME MEANS PURPLE!!!
3. The Phoenix ~ Fujiwara no Mokou
If this list were to be about sheer power, then this tomboyish-girl (along with her enemy) would be at the very top. Why, you ask? Her ability is complete and utter immortality in the truest sense. She is unable to die. The survival of her soul is independent on the subject of reality itself. Hard to understand? You bet your ass it is. Hell, the whole universe of Touhou is hard to understand, but whatevs. Her tomboyish way of speaking, attitude, and epic pants are all I need to put her at #3 on my list.
4. The Girl Hated for her Eyes ~ Satori Komeiji
How would you feel if the entire world hated you for your ability? Probably pretty bad. For even the Youkai to be judgmental of you for something you can't help has to be pretty bad. Her ability is to read the minds of anybody and anything, though her power is only limited to what is currently on your mind. Her underhanded tactics during battle, such as bringing all of your current fears to mind and using those against you, have earned her a few enemies in the world of Gensokyo. I really do feel sorry for her. She's so pretty. ;~;
5. The Doll Maker of Bucuresti ~ Alice Margatroid
TSUNDERE DOLL MAKER FTW

I love Youmu.I dont play Touhou much(because i kno ill die in the first 50 seconds)but if i played it often i would only play the Touhou games with her in them.She's half human half phantom....that carries TWO swords.Thats not awesome enough?

She's hot,has bunny ears and can shoot bullets from her finger tips!But the hot girls are always the one to kill you.....

Yeah. Koakuma (Red Head) Is more of an Air Head than Yandere. According to Fanon of course. She has nothing but appearance that's Cannon.
