Hello everyone once again! How's everyone's day? Hopefully good.

Question, we all obviously love anime more than life itself. But, what anime really got you into anime? The one that made you think that you should keep watching this style of show entertainment?

I was begged to start watching anime by my nerdy friends back in freshman year. I wasn't interested in the concept of "TV". But Ash got her way and got me hooked to the Anime world with *drum roll* Hellsing, then later Hellsing Ultimate. Now I'm hooked and that nerd that can't stop watching anime even in the middle of class (lol)

What's yours? :)

My first anime was Love Hina which I didn't enjoy much, but then I watched Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu and Zero no Tsukaima and I was sold.

Angel Beats! I saw it on suggestions in Netflix a few years back. Ever since then I haven't looked back.

Sword Art Online was what got me more into anime as a whole. Which is kind of embarrassing to admit, because I don't like it at all now.

I think the first anime I watched was Sailor Moon, though. As much as I loved (and still love) it, it didn't really make me interested in watching more anime.

Like all Indonesians, Doraemon is what got me into anime.

But Accel World and Guilty Crown made me rage-quit anime and denounce Japan for 2 years before the Yakuza series convinced me that Japan is still worth following as long as i don't touch anime/manga.

Fruits Basket.

I watched Detective Conan a lot as a very young child, but I didn't start to really get into anime until my brother asked me to watch one with him. I chose Fruits Basket because I remembered seeing a manga for it when I was little, but I was told I couldn't read it because it was too mature for me.

While i grew up on anime on toonami, i still wasnt really into non-dubbed anime and thought most people who watched anime were creepy perves lmao (i obviously dont anymore... i was young and naive). It wasn't until i watched Clannad that i started getting into watching anime regularly. A friend of mine had recommended it to me so i tried it out, and i liked being able to connect to people through anime, so i set a goal to watch more series and just kind of got hooked :P I dont really watch it as much anymore, but i binge watch a series every now and then when i run out of things to do.

I used to watch Crayon Shin-Chan and Doraemon when I was little, but I didn't know they were Japanese anime. Then, in fourth grade, I happened to see an episode of Mirmo! on TV and I got hooked on the whole show.

Keroro Gunsou and Mushiking started airing on Cartoon Network in my (then-)country just a few weeks later. I checked them out, just for the heck of it, and before long I was hooked on those shows too. Full stop.

i grew up watching the digimon movie(greatest thing ever) and jetix(which had digimon seasons 1 through 5 on all the time), then after jetix died and the ''dark era''(my term for when digimon kinda died in the west) began, i had no animes anymore......
then a miracle happened
toonami came back on, where i watched cowboy bebop, SAO, samurai 7....oh the memories..
then nickelodeon picked up digimon adventure(which finally gave me the chance to watch it when i could actually understand what's going on lol) and digimon fusion, anime was back in my life. nowadays i watch ''kid'' stuff like doraemon, yokai watch, and of course, digimon.

I did watch Pokemon, Sailor Moon, Hamtaro and all sorts of other anime back in the halcyon days of the late 90s/early 00s anime boom, but I guess I didn't completely fall down the rabbit hole until I watched Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni. Now I follow the anime fandom pretty closely and watch new shows when I have the time to.

I watched a lot of the dutch dubs of Pokemon and Inazuma Eleven, but I didn't know they were anime/originally japanese. When I was 12 and still squeamish I watched Elfen Lied at like two in the morning (not a good idea). I finally started to get into anime when my friend saw me listening to Black Rock Shooter and informed me there was an anime of the same name. After that it was Sword Art Online, Attack on titan, Madoka Magica and it kind of snowballed from there.
