Kodomo no Jikan- Is a lolicon manga,however is very nice.It's about a 3rd grader girl crushing on her teacher.I couldn't stop reading for hours.It has some funny parts,too.
Helen ESP - Absolutely amazing.It's about a deaf,mute and blind girl that one day discovers her powers...

Dunno if you count it as popular or not, its not well known, but i'll throw Tegami Bachi into the limelight. I'm not ashamed to admit i've wept manly tears over this series.

I'm noting these down. They all sound good. I also know another good one that has only 6 chapters, and is done. It's supposedly Shonen-Ai, but I don't really thing so. 8D

It's called Rust Blaster. It's about these vampires at a school where only 2 humans are, also. The vampires all have lineage weapons except one, but he soon gets one. I'm not going into any more detail, just in case someone decides to read it, but I promise it's a good read. There's a lot of action, and quite a bit of comedy. 8D I read it on CityManga, I believe.

@Dorchette
Wind Rider, Knights of Apocalypse, Garudayana XP

ok, for japanese manga, I'd recommend Aegis in the Dark (Yami no Aegis) or Yugo the Negotiator. Both are seinen and are quite hard to look for scanlations :)

Isn't all of them are Is Yuniarto's? I only read Wind Rider though, it's awesome XD

For Japanese Manga, I read Yozakura Quartet (it's pretty popular though..), Isshoni Kaero (Shoujo, it's a different manga from Issho ni Kaero), Valkyrie Profile, and so on

Girl Friends by Milk Moringa is my favourite yuri series to this day, it's great. :D
Too bad the creator is deciding to rush the ending ;^;

Breathe in then out, but not out then in.
Cause over function. Restart again.
I need to see my dreams as I close my eyes.
Remembering nothing and begging for light.
I could care less if I deserve this. I won't survive the sting inflicted
Repeat, repeat, as we've done before. Our history all lost in war.

Kuso Miso Technique.
Probably doesn't fit your age of curiousness.
