Pretty self explanitory. You can choose multiple choices for the first poll.

I just stream now. I've never purchased any anime. Though, I once considered buying the AoT set because it was so pretty but it was $90 and I didn't think it was worth it considering I was only in it for the pretty box and would probably continue to stream the anime anyway.

Torrents. From where I am, internet disconnections are quite frequent. That way, I can watch anime without internet. The upside? Media is convertible, I can put it on my PS Vita for travels or outings. The downside? Takes a couple of hours to days to finish downloads. Ignoring the wait, it eats a lot of memory. It's quite negligible if you have other things you can do anyway.

I am a self-professed torrenting addict, unfortunately. But I do try to purchase series I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to support, but also being a student with no source of income, it's kind of difficult haha... if Blurays go down in price soon, that'd be great.

Anything that is not officially licensed or there is no streaming license for my region: Fansubs, mostly DDL, XDCC via IRC or using BitTorrent.
Licensed Series/Movies with streaming, free, no retail: via stream from Viewster (if available) or by relocating Crunchyroll's stream output into a file.
Licensed Series/Movies with streaming, paid, no retail: don't watching these
Licensed Series/Movies, retail: watch Blu-ray(s) if available, otherwise I get the DVD(s)

Average prices:
- Blu-ray from large company, like Kazé or Universum (RTL Group): €20-25
- Blu-ray from small/new companies, like Peppermint: €45

I've honestly never bought any anime related CD or DVD item. I'm painfully frugal and they're expensive!
Although I'd totally buy the JJBA DVD Box Set.

I always stream my anime series. I've never bought an entire series on DVD, but I do have a few anime movies on my shelf. Most physical releases are much too expensive for this poor university student.

i watch Anime with a mixture of Crunchyroll(though the ads are annoying...) Youtube and Nickelodeon(they have anime rarely), i downloaded a few episodes once with a youtube converter during the Great Youtube Red Event to preserve them and to copy them to my PS Vita since at the time i was quite busy, i later deleted them since i had no reason to keep them.

i buy Anime sometimes, mostly for stuff i like, i have the first two boxsets for Digimon Data Squad, and the Digimon movie, most of my collection comes from Studio Ghibli lol, though i do have the full Cowboy Bebop set, that show is too good.

I used to torrent... until I was going over my monthly data cap 10 days in. Now, I just stream and occasionally buy some shows I like. Right now, I have
Kino's Journey
Baka and Test (both seasons)
Alien Nine (the dvd is like 5$ on amazon, seriously, go get it)
Humanity has Declined
Mushishi

99% of the time I stream anime online. However, I do proceed to buy DVD of the anime series if I liked it a lot. I currently own the following DVDs:
  • Ga-Rei: Zero
  • Puella Magi Madoka Magica
  • Puella Magi Madoka the Movie: Rebellion
  • Mirai Nikki (first half)
  • Tokyo Ghoul
  • Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt

I hope to buy more in the future.

Thats what I'm curious about: Do you prefer Blu-rays or DVDs, considering the series/movie/ova is available as both?

Blu-rays are too expensive for my family, so we still buy DVDs. The few anime I do own physically are DVDs.
