So I was given this tweet about Miku EXPO in China.

Quote

Hatsune Miku China Project
Surprise!
Do you want to create chinese songs for Miku, and have her singing your song in fluent Chinese? VOCALOID V4 CHINESE is in the works, will be released soon!
Following the release, poppro.cn will be opened as well so you can share your works on there!

I was pretty skeptical at first until I found these tweets in Wat's Twitter.

Quote

Yesterday, I gave the president the demo sample for the new VB

This Beta version has even more increased clarity

Didnt think this would even happen tbh

EDIT: I wonder if this tweet might have something to do with Miku CHN as well

Quote

In a hurry to finish tuning the talkloid for new foreign language VB. (cant make sense of second sentence oops)

Does Miku's voice actress know Chinese? Or is this going to be another one of those scenarios where Ms.Fujita will have to learn the language again?( Also on an unrelated note is Ms. or Mrs. Fujita? Now that I think about I don't know if she is married or not) Anyways I guess that wouldn't be as difficult for her as learning english.

I just heard this news, I can't believe! But there is actually a website about Chinese Miku by Crypton:
http://www.poppro.cn/
I just hope Miku's Chinese won't be as awful as her Engrish.
There are a lot of Chinese producers show their strong interest and happiness about Chinese Miku in Weibo.

added: I think Miku is much more popular than Luo in China. There are giant amount of Miku fans. Miku's Japanese songs are the most popular among Vocaloids fans.
I heard Chinese Miku's demo and I think some places in the demo is even better than some Chinese native vocaloids' demo(as they sang 'mo li gua', Miku sings 'mo li hua'). But some Miku's 'hao' is much like Japanese 'ho' not Chinese 'hao', and her dental sound is louder. In fact Chinese 'a' has a little bigger mouth open than Japanese and Chinese 'u' sounds some different with Japanese 'u'. I'm not sure if Miku can do well.
However, the demo sounds really great.

Miku sang plenty of Chinese in Taiwan Expo, but I guess it was her Japanese bank.

Still, I am impressed. I wonder how it will sound like.

The cashcow is still going strong.

I will guessing, her design will be default V2 with more futuristic with traditional Chinese style maybe.

Interesting.
While I hate how spoken Chinese sounds, the Miku Chinese singing I heard sounded half decent.

Miku German is next, right? XD

I'm honestly guessing French even tho it's not supported in Vovcaloid due to the Prime Minister wanting her down there haha

Either that or they'll just try to buckle down and do every currently supported language.

I am really just kidding, I don't expect that at all.

There does not seem to be anybody here knowing about Vocaloid.
Not even at Anime conventions or something like that there is usually people who know about that...

Considering the markets closet to Japan, Korean is logical, followed by Spanish.

I don't expect her to be released into a language we've not already got right now.
