I just recently started to get into Chinese Vocaloids and Chinese vocal synths so this is really cool! I also what her design will look like for this voicebank, I hope it looks good.
Edit: I also just realized they changed her logo into Chinese. (初音未来)

Exactly. She would be more suitable with romance language releases first...Clearly the Chinaloids have most of their female voice ranges covered. I just hope Miku doesn't outsell them...I would be upset. I'm guessing Chinese fans showed the most interest and big bucks /shrugs

I kind of think Crypton will try try to rival the Chinease market more than companion with them. Tianyi is very popular over there, so I hardly think Miku will take her over. Whether Cryton thinks the same is beyond me.

I'm pretty sure a lot of Chinese Vocaloid fans really, really like Miku. While I can't tell if she'll overthrow Tianyi or not, she's definitely going to give future Chinese vocals some trouble.

Yeah I also believe this. I just hope they stay loyal to Tianyi and Stardust at least.

While it was mentioned earlier that there are Chinese fans who wanted Miku Chinese to be a thing, there were also some who worry about how she'll affect the current Native Mandarin lineup. So I guess there's people who are for it and others who are on the edge. Apparently there's some Chinese producers who are also interested in getting Miku Chinese already. And of course, there are the fans who wonder if the Chinese bank would be good quality or have at least decent pronunciation.

Also @ people talking about how Miku is popular in China - She is. She definitely is. Before China got its own VOCALOIDs, Miku and Luka were pretty well-liked over there. I also kind of have my doubts that she'd overthrow Tianyi, but I guess only time would tell. .3.

@Skye - Yeah, "初音未来" (Chuyin Weilai) is how her name is written in Chinese. It has been this way for a long time. .w./ Though people either call her Chuyin or just Miku either way.

Yeah... Not saying jharbort is lying, but we don't have physical confirmation from Crypton for either possibility. I mean, if it is not Miku Chinese, then what VB was wat talking about today?

I fee like there's a communist/capatalist/imperalist joke somewhere here but I can't find it. I don't know if people will get it either.

Yeah... Another Miku... Ugh.

The idea is cool, and Crypton has talked about making a Chinese voice bank for Miku before. But unless there's confirmation from Crypton themselves I'm just not gonna believe this is real. I really want it to be, though.

Before a mod comes in and closes the topic, I think it is worth having it open (maybe renamed?) since wat did talk about some voicebank. Some person on twitter mentioned a multilanguage VB, whatever that means exactly.

I'd prefer a spanish Miku since we can see for Maika who can speak a large range of languages using just one VB. But well we don't know if it's real or not just the time will tell.
