Why are these VOCALOIDs getting hate? I like them

Their creator was the man behind this scandal.

Yuecheng's voice provider is confirmed to be Feilünuochen (the second place finalist)!

And this seems to be a sample of his voicebank! It's called "深海灯塔" ("Hope From Dark" according to the clip I suppose?)

EDIT: I kinda just realized that the Molihua samples, his voice provider announcement, and this new sample pretty much all tied together and launched for his character birthday (July 28). I wonder if a similar treatment will happen for Chuchu (her character birthday is August 9).

What do you think of Yuecheng's voice so far?

(I personally kinda like it and I think it suits his image? I can at least tell him apart for Longya and Moke, which is good)

Glad that he sounds different from Moke and Longya :longya: :moke:

and it also suits his image well too because technically hes 19 so hes older than Moke and younger than Longya so hes like the middle....

so i like how his voice sounds younger than Longya and sounds older than Moke

I love his voice honestly, it's distinct from Longya and Moke and fits his design well!! I hope we get more demos/this is uploaded to YouTube or whatever for easier access.

Not much has been said lately, though it seems Yuecheng will be getting a new song some time.

I'm surprised we haven't heard a new sample from Chuchu yet. It really seems like they're kinda prioritizing Yuecheng so far? And Yao Luniang's voice provider hasn't been decided yet, but that's for her own thread. ^^;

I’m not too sure about Yuecheng’s design. I mean like, who has jeans with holes specifically for the knees? What an odd design lol.

I have never really been interested in Chinese Vocaloids because they seem so barebones and they don’t really shine as much. I am happy we’re getting more Chinese Vocaloids though.

Actually its quite common to rip the jeans around the knees as it allows the knees to bend more freely then normal jeans would due to their stiffness.

Saying that, ripped jeans is still tacky, you pay a lot of money for something thats already broken.

Back in the day, ripped jeans used to be a mark of poverty, because it implied that you'd been wearing your jeans for a very long time and you couldn't afford a new pair. Late 20th century and current 21st century fashion has a tedency to glamourise fashion originating from the poor or the working class, so eventually ripped jeans became trendy - 90s grunge fashion is the most obvious example I can think of, especially since there's been a 90s revival going on in modern clothes shops and ripped jeans are part of it.

There are also people who buy cheap, plain pairs of jeans and tear holes in them themselves so the distressed look appears more authentic. (You can actually tell the difference between manufactured ripped jeans and homemade ones if you look closely.)

Wow, this is getting off-topic. ^^;

Then it became a trend to glamorise "dangerous" fashion. I know the origin, just didn't understand the appeal. IT often cost far more to buy a pair of ripped jeans then it did a set of new ones... So to me it was illogical. Not only was the normal jeans cheaper, they lasted longer. I was at highschool from 95-2000 (UK peep), so I saw the trend appear first hand and become popular. The majority of people at my highschool found the whole situation funny. IT was only the ones whose parents seemed to have "money to burn" who cared for it. It was weird.

It was mentioned a few pages back as a weibo video.

What I don't like about this YouTube upload is that they added the intro video in front of the actual demo, which can be a turn off for anyone looking for the actual voicebank and thought this was going to be an instrumental track before watching the whole thing. The intro is also a lot longer than the demo itself. :/

The original upload on Weibo was just the demo itself.
