I'm back again with more questions YAAAAAAYYYYY!!!! OTL
Anyways after listening to spice I figured I would work on it a little bit latter because it needs ALOT of editing So I figured I would try Melt. Sango312 already made a an english VSQ so I figured I would just play around with it on Al. Anyways I opened it up and again it sounded like poor Al was kicked in the nuts then forced to sing ( You think by now he would learn to wear a cup :P )However, Instead of just going off what I thought sounded good I tried to think back to my Music classes and remembered that if you go from from one note say E3 ( where the song originally is at) To another like say E2 ( Which was still to high ) I think it was called an octave change. So I after going from E3 to E2 and then from E2 to E1 I went back up. However once I got to E2 again I decided to try to get right in the middle making me land on B1. So is that called a step and a half in an octave change? ( Sorry if my question is really long and confusing not great with describing music)

If I get what you're trying to say, the term is called transposing. If the original song was voiced in the key of E but you want the key to be in B in a consistent fashion, that requires you to transpose the notes into the appropriate notes on the new key.

Hope that's what you were looking for. My music theory is hella rusty, so I could be wrong. D:

Also, don't forget to transpose the music into the same key that the VOCALOID is programmed into. Or else it'll sound wrong. (When people don't transpose the music, its one of the things that's like ear-rape and makes me wanna go cry in a corner)

you mean like change the tune so it sounds lower? I'm not sure what type of program I would need for that. all the VSQ came with was the main file and an MP3 of the karaoke.

like, for example, if the VSQ is in the key of E, and you lower the key of the VSQ to C, make sure you lower the karaoke to the key of C as well, or it'll sound off. Most audio editing programs can change the pitch of a sound file. I know that Audacity can (and Audacity's ability to do so has been very much abused by those who make fake, cheater genderbends).

ooooohhhh okay I think I got it now. So since the VSQ started on E3 and I brought it down to start on B1 I need to go into audacity and go under change pitch and change it from E to B going down. Right?
