So, say, since there's a negative-ish thread, why not make a positive-ish version of it?

Just tell us what you enjoy about the Vocaloid fandom!

Personally:
-I like the abundance of songs there are, allowing everyone to have a song they like.
-I LOVE Piapro, even more now that I know how one of my favourite producers (sarumo/Kofun-P) usess it :D

Now, it'S YOUR turn to talk :D

I enjoy seeing the ideas that fans come up with, whether it be for stories, songs, or even artwork~

I also enjoy sharing songs and discussing things with fellow VOCALOID fans who know their facts by heart~ OwO ~

Not just that~ I also enjoy explaining things about VOCALOID to newbies and converting others into the VOCALOID Fandom~ >w< ~

You use the little squiggly things a lot.
Ditto what Aisha said about the fans who know their facts.

I really like the fact that there are so many different genres of Vocaloid music. It gives me a lot of different things to listen to. This also allows any type of music lover to find their own little niche in the fandom.

I also like how certain Vocaloid songs tell stories, or have a bunch of different meanings hidden in them. Personally, I like to decipher their meanings and say to myself "Oh! So that's what that means." Maybe I just like analyzing things too much LOL.

I like the fact that no matter how bleak the situation of the fandom may seem by a lot of Youtube comments, there's still intelligent people who know how to not use the word "kawaii" in every sentence here on VO.
I also really like the abundance of songs and art...
And the lack of canon. Makes fanfiction fun. ;3

I enjoy the members of the fandom who are ridiculously easy to troll and that fact that amidst all of the crap I sift through, there are still the bastions of hope that are talented producers to produce music for me to fawn like an idiot over.

Mainly HSP and kz.

On unrelated note, kz is producing a song for a singer who is singing the anime OP of "My Little Sister Can't Be This Cute!" which originally was co-drawn by Kanzaki Hiro who is HSP and I nearly came. My god, this makes me excited.

The stories and symbolism that are in a lot of songs, and the fact that Vocaloid songs can be about ANYTHING. (I'm looking at you "When I get home my wife always pretends to be dead".)

Also, it's fun to laugh at the fans who take things too seriously. You know, the people who care about what idiots on youtube say. :P (Seriously, if you're gonna worry about stuff people say on youtube, start with the racists, sexists and psycho conspiracy theory weirdos. If you read those people's comments for too long you'll lose your faith in humanity, at least for a while.)

No canon. I only seem to cling to series without canon (like Yume Nikki). Feels great.

Uhmmmm something to listen to constantly I guess; I always played music while I drew, so it expanded my tastes hugely.

When I was younger I really liked music, but wanted to be a novelist. Writing became so stressful I had to quit else break down, and then all I had was drawing. Vocaloid gave me something else.

The attachment to zero-canon is probably an aftereffect of writing fanfic and then having absolute seizures of fear regarding canon and how I wrote it.

...haaa, since my tablet is broken and I just lost my headphones/mic, I'm pretty much a mess. I guess I should take up writing again as an outlet before I come down with the blues (and by blues I mean 'crippling depression') again.

I really enjoy the variety of voices, music, and especially the PV's since I couldn't draw to say my life I would much rather look at great art then try to draw it...If that makes sense.

I enjoy vocaloid songs that tell stories, especially if they are tragedies like the Akuno series or re-Cycle.
I also like ryo's music. He's really cool.

I love how there are so many producers to choose from- almost everything is new or at the very least different- you get to appreciate it all, y' know? =) and the other thing I love is how after listening to a Vocaloid song you can just open up vocloid program and start your own- I love how interactive it all is- everyone can be a part, and that's what's best.

how cheesy was that XD

I enjoy it when they make something creative, like songs or doujin or pictures, that isn't: controversial, delusional and/or overly unlikely/impossible altogether.

Some artists out there make wonderful art works and pictures that I love to collect, while the producers are essentially the life-line of Vocaloid. Those like Minami that makes comedic and non-controversial 4komas are also something I found to my liking.
