I love the way the fandom just meshes together and really created Miku (and the others, too, but she's a pretty good example). Sure, people may disagree about certain things (like Miku's Append design, or not liking the newer Vocaloids) but when it comes down to it, we're all members of the Vocaloid community because we all share the common love of it. Watching how a song can be made, followed by an animation, and then there's a meme spanning the internet is amazing, and the creative power we all have together is unstoppable.

I like a lot of different songs that is made. And I'm not counting just the Lady Gaga covers.

I also like it when people use Big Al, Sweet Ann, Prima, Tonio, Sonika and VY2 well. I like the underused ones a lot.

I also like it when Miku, Len, Rin, Luka and Gakupo are used extremely well. Just don't make them too high please.

I also like that a lot of MMD videos don't use flashing lights. I can't watch anything with flashing lights without mini seizures and headaches.

And that's awesome how great ideas Vocaloids have given to people, not just in music but for examble in drawing too! Have you ever really noticed that how elaborated many of illustrations are and how cool ideas the Vocaloids have given to drawers? And for examble I've hated everything related to the space, but after seeing it many times as a subject in Vocaloid-art, I've started to like it again.. And most of songs' illustration isn't made by the composer.
It's hard to exblain, but it's that the Vocaloids don't just give ideas in music 8)

I absolutely love the fact that its provided a new innovative artistic outlet for budding musicians, artists etc. Many people have probably found that they are talented at composing which they may have never known about if vocal synthesisers like this didn't exist and are probably know making a living from it and are known by thousands of people. Its given a whole new subject for artists and cosplayers alike. I believe that vocaloid is currently the most cosplayed "series" in the world- its popularity is off the charts and it will have undoubtably brought more people into the fandom which is insane because cosplay is generally understood to be dressing up as an anime/manga character but vocaloid I don't think is officially either! Its inspirational, to say the least to see all these awesome new songs coming out all the time with gorgeous artwork to go with it and although everyone has different preferences, I don't think I've ever seen many critical comments on vocaloid youtube vids saying 'X sings this way better than y!' which is both nice and very suprising.

TAKE NOTE THAT THIS THREAD HAS BEEN DEAD SINCE NEW YEAR'S EVE

I love the marketing. No, seriously, Crypton's done a great job everywhere except America in making Miku so popular. And I love how innovative their copyright terms are.

...Ok so that wasn't fandom-related but this is Vocaloid-related.

By the way, I also love how fan-translators are so willing to work to get stuff out. Serious cred.

I agree with this totally. I love the fact that I can fall in love with a song and then a couple of weeks later find the translation. I love the fact that there are so many vocaloids because you can almost always find something that someone will like. Don't like japanese, he's a english vocaloid. Don't like pop or rock music, here's a vocaloid that does opera. There's a vocaloid for just about every song type and if you don't like any songs, you can buy one and make a song yourself. The amount of creativity that vocaloid gives you is mindblowing.

What I really like about the Vocaloid Fandom is that there are a lot of people that make amazing things with Vocaloids and Vocaloid ideas such as amazing fan art or amazing songs that fans created.

I like how their are so many songs and voices that vary
I like how you can go for a long time without listening to a song, then hear it again and still have to get up and dance or hum along or whatever.
I like how the Kagamine Twins exist :)
I like how fans can make their own songs instead of having to wait for others to strike inspirational gold.
I like how their songs usually talk about real things, instead of the usual "I think you're hot, let's get in bed and then get drunk" crap I hear so often.
I like how they sometimes have stories in the songs.
I like how they get such cool artwork and PVs.
I like how some songs are crowded with mystery and you get to interpret them however you like.

I just like Vocaloid.

I love discovering new composers and producers.

I also enjoy discovering how other users use their vocaloids in different ways. Like I never knew Big Al could sing opera until I clicked on a video of it, and I was surprised to find it amazing.

I have to agree with everyone in this thread who said storytelling and symbolism in songs. I've always been a fan of concept albums and rock operas, so a lot of the songs just appealed to me. Until I found Alice Human Sacrifice and The Story of Evil I had only heard a few Vocaloid songs (Rolling Girl and Miku's cover of Ievan Polkka) and didn't bother looking into it.

I also just love the technology and music itself. I've been doing something music related since I was three and started in choir. The outlet itself has changed a few times, but music is really one thing in my life that has always been there, and its nice to be able to make a fandom out of music. This is really one of the first fandoms I've stayed in because of that.

I like it when people combine Vocaloids with spaceflight.

(take for example, the Akatsuki Venus probe)
