Its something anyone can enjoy nd it gives folks more diversity to write songs.
Youtube poster 2; I'm guessing that it breaks the word in half.

I really love it when a new song proves me wrong about a Vocaloid (in a positive way).
I love seeing what the songs do with each "character." I like seeing how they take a simple design, a simple suggestion at a character (such as "Mirror sound") and create a character. I guess what I'm saying is the lack of continuity is nice~
Oh. And the music. Yes. I love how you'd find types of music you'd never find in mainstream music, and how some producers let you download their music for free.

The fandom, us guys, or the producers, MMD users, etc, etc.
I enjoy the fact we have an ever-growing fandom. Unlike series where when they end they normally stop growing as quickly. But with Vocaloid the fandom grows and keeps growing because of the products, music works, etc, etc all constantly being released and such.
I also enjoy the large variety of the fandom we have in the Vocaloid fandom. Because let's face it, it is like a school, we've got the producers in one corner, MMD users in another, people who just enjoy the music, others who like the products, etc, etc.
The Engloid fandom is love too. I adore the fact the majority cares not about a mascot design, and really care about the voice and music.
And who doesn't love the producers? They make the music we listen to ya know, yo.

how cheesy was that XD
Not at all dude! You're totally right. That's what I think makes VOCALOID communtities more fun than just regular music communities. People actually exchange ideas and create things, they don't just talk about how much they like a certain artist. How many other forums could actually release a CD with a compilation of music they've created?
Also, the people here are super funny!

And I especially enjoy someone who have great flexibility in making music... Like Machigerita-P.

I like many of the fanarts, and how this community seems to be open to all sorts of ideas (and people, too.) There's some kind of creative energy that this fandom has that others which I participate in do not. I also like the variety of song genres (Gakumetal ftw) and how diverse the fans are. I've met super-ultra-cool music nerds who can probably name all 28 of Verdi's operas in ascending order, but can also gush about how much they love Luka!

But I really like how sophisticated part of this fandom can be. How we can talk about things like metaphors in songs, and what PVs mean, and about music in general. I dunno, I think that's neat. >w>

Um, what. It's not Miku's fault for being popular. She's just a program used to singing. Since when does she have a character. Also this is supposed to be a positive thread, not a negative one.
Anyway, I would like to add on. I like how the fandom will never stop growing, since the music will never stop coming. Even if some producers decide to quit, there will more to take their place and introduce us to some new music.

Your words play constantly in my ears.

Agreed, especially the fact that the fandom is kind of never-ending. I've been in the "ending" kind of fandoms and it feels sad to leave them and move on to another (and it's not the same when you come back to it.) Tus, why this is going to be the longest-lasting fandom I am going to be in I guess.
@lonelyduchess: I concur. Showing your creativity and freedom of speech is a good thing. I love how eveyone can utilize at least one talent of their in Vocaloid and the collaboration aspect is awesome.

The world is PINE, and apparently the sushi is his too. xP
