Seriously Nintendo I don't mind you remaking your character images for newer generations but this is just lazy. Same color scheme, same dog tags, even same style boots. Now I get that the army has a limited amount of wardrobe but you did have options. Heck in the books it says he was a sailor originally. Or why not use his firered and leafgreen art that was a little more original than this. Or dare I even say try using his anime style out fit?

lmao.... i didn't even noticed well im not too familiar with the street fighter character's who knows they prob designed him like that and didn't notice it looks like cell? i think thats his name nvm they knew *-* inspired design?

uncanny... wow nintendo...I mean I do think the image fits the character, yes... but I'm ure you could have coe up with something to distinguish your characters.
did I notice though? weell I don't play street fighter so... no... but I know I would have if I did-

maybe they were out of ideas so they asked ditto for help?

I really, honestly, don't care about the similarities. It happens, I've seen even closer similarities in the past with other fictional characters. It happens, get used to it. ._. Not like it's a big deal, that outfit is extremely plain, I think I've DRAWN an OC with the exact same outfit before in the past, on my own. It's extremely plain, I'm sure others have drawn characters with the exact same design too without knowledge of either character's designs.

That's what happens when one uses an extremely plain outfit. >_>

That's like complaining about other characters wearing a plain white shirt and blue jeans because 'it's L's outfit'. e_e

Yeah I noticed it when I watched the anime, that time I told my friend: Look! Lt Surge looks just like that guy from street fighter! hah
But this happens a lot, doesnt make gamefreak or nintendo sounds lame, sometimes people have the same idea don^t they? ^^

I think they are just following a typical sterotype. it's bound to happen when they do this.

Erika looks like the kimono girls, and she could fit in with them easily. You know why? Stereotypes.

Yes, yes it does. Gamefreak is one of Nintendo's primary studios. ( After all Nintendo bought the studio in stock shares)It may be plain but they still had options to customize it a little better. that's why I liked his firered and leafgreen design better. It was still plain enough to get the fact he was in the army but unique enough to stand out. (Seriously ever time I see this I keep wanting to hear him say "SONIC BOOM!!!")Oh well it is like what Kimicatdemon said. Gamefreak wanted to play on stereotypes.
