Vocaloid 3 suggestions
#1

We're still quite a while before we'll actually see it but, PowerFX and Zero-G would like
to know what suggestions you have for Vocaloid 3.
It could be related to the voices, the software, or anything else connected to (english) Vocaloid.
Once we've heard what you think is important we'll add it to our own list and let Yamaha know.
Fire away!
Crossfrown here! "Voice suggestions" in this thread means what they should do for the voices. Not what kind of voice you want.

Edit:
Removed voice suggestion, as I'm trying to help get the message across Anders doesn't want that, we have a topic for it already!
Youtube poster 2; I'm guessing that it breaks the word in half.

I guess I made it clear enough hah. But seems like 25% of vocaloid producers use mac as main plataform. So why not?
2- Retrocompatibility
Because opening 2 vocaloids at the sime time will be difficult (my PC cpu already has problems enough with one vocaloid running).
3- Better software engine.
Vocaloid2 is full of bugs, everywhere, anywhere, the setup is troublesome, sometimes the program perform some really weird errors.
4- Mac version.
Now thats for the software. but for voicebanks I'd suggest:
- A male with higher voice (like Ben Gibbard from Death Cab for Cutie)
- US English voice providers.
- And of course better boxarts. I know you guys probably are worried about something else (like the voices) but please hire a designer haha. Except for few boxes (like sonika's new boxart) they're ALL ugly and plain. (yeah the japanese ones included.)

2. Less adult voices (young female? The market for Japanese Vocaloids is switching to deep, so the polarity overseas should reverse too)
3. Icon pallete (From Vocaloid1, it always got in the way but I love that thing)
4. More use of the expression banks. :I

2: backwards compatability with both Vocaloid 1 and Vocaloid 2
3: more male vocaloids
5: compatability with most modern Operating Systems

From a displeased fan.
P.s. improvement on importing midi files would also be nice too.

A few others like a "grunt" would also be nice, sometimes these simple effects just seem to never sound right when people try and make the vocaloid mimick them.

Click and phlegm sounds would make my universe, and be helpful for educational reasons. Also seething. tł plz
...But that's not something that should be in a mainstream Vocaloid so maybe as an aside project.

#1 Backwards compatibility would be very nice.
#2 Is more vocal options, such as click sounds, screams, breathing phonemes would be nice to have some more of these settings in the software instead of having to improvise using other software to edit it after the fact.
#3 Better midi support, I all the time get errors, and have to rebuild midi's from scratch in the editor because they won't import correctly.
#4 An American English voice would be nice
Last two are just voice bank wants, but for the software itself the first three would be very nice.
