You totally reminded me of how much I dislike Strawberry Panic! My friend recommended it to me since I like GL, but it was all like "OMG PERSON I JUST MET BUT INSTANTLY LOVE, YOUR SKIN LOOKS LIKE PORCELAIN" "WELL MAYBE YOU SHOULD TOUCH IT THEN"

And I want to kick Nagisa. She is really annoying. :|

Yeah, it's actually funny it's so random and cheesy. "RANDOM HYPNOTIZE KISS ATTACK, GOGOGO!"

And I can definitely vouch for that second bit. .x.

-Sadistic characters (not just in BL/yaoi). They're usually superficial and are there just to make the fangirls go "kyaaaaa~ he's so hot~" and stuff. Plus they're forceful so the story doesn't develop really well.

-Kyuuso wa Cheese no Yume wo Miru and it's sequel: Really realistic in my point of view. It's not all fluffy and cute and stuff. The drama CD is a must hear.

Yay for good taste! /bias Also, I didn't know there was a drama CD for it. Must listen to it~

Also YES, I totally forgot about sadistic characters. Even just semes that come off as cold/rude are such a turnoff for me...there's a difference between having a fight (realistic) and just being a jackass towards your love interest. :|

Personally, I am not a fan of either. I don't know why. It's just that neither of them appeal to me in any way. =/ You can say I'm more of a fan of Heterosexual ( Male x female). But sometimes I kinda like G.L. But now I don't really care for it.

So overly I'm a Het fan.

I am actually fan of GL >.< But in a non-sexual way...
Just a lover-dovey innocent couple thats cute and loving with hugging kissing etc etc xD
I dont really hate yaoi/BL and i am fine with it if its like the non-sexual case

But i dislike and despise sexual yaoi/yuri, i cant stand them much....
They are too disgusting for me ._.

I enjoy lesbian relationships and dude/dude relationships but I rarely go out of my way to read a romance manga unless it's made of hilarious or awesome or something : P

What I usually read is fantasy/comedy/Neil Gaiman level horror so....errr...lesbians in those circumstances, I guess? hmm.

I read more webcomics than anything else so you'd better man up and take it -

Meh. BL/Yaoi doesn't appeal to me. I've scanned through one BL manga and personally I find mangas about guys who snuggle boring.

Teahouse - yaoi bordello thing featuring some dramars and some adorbs and some sexeys and some laffs (upon rare occasion). Awesome victorian aesthetics. Super plus: girls show up and they aren't nessecarily jerks =_=; (that's my biggest problem with the traditional yaoi setup).

Oh hey you read Teahouse too? It's basically everything I hate in yaoi rolled into one comic, but I read it regularly anyway...? Mainly because the art is nice and the two female courtesans are total babes (Claret is the cutest thing ever god)

Oh jeez the bodyguard is my favourite <3<3<3<3

She doesn't have lines...

I DON'T CARE ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER

ooooor something hahaha. It's pretty standard yaoi ridiculousness, but I appreciate that they acknowledge that Linneus is more or less a woman. Annnnd preetty art for sure!

I'm sensing a bit of hipster hate for BL on account of its popularity...
I like both a lot, myself. And romance stories in general, as long as there's a good amount of angst and turmoil. Any kind of forbidden romance is totally my thing too, so I like incest.
When it comes to porn though it's gotta be guy on guy or maybe guy on girl. I'm really not a fan of vaginas, at all.

Personally I would like yaoi more if it had some more labia

I wonder what would happen if we put the word "hipster" on censor on this forum.....my hypothesis is that the forum would EXPLODE O_O

I personally have not ever really tried yaoi. I'm not really interested and since I read very little manga to begin with nowadays, I doubt I'd ever get to it even if I were.

I do love me some yuri though. Some delicious yuri one-shots in the morning can really make my day. ♥ Used to read it all day everyday.

Some of my favorite series:

As for one-shots (Or collections of one-shots):

Honestly, I'm not picky with yuri though. To me, all yuri is good yuri.

I love both genres. It certainly is a nice change from most of the manga I see on the shelves when I go to Books-A-Million or Barnes & Noble. I've been out of the loop though, so the only contribution I have is 'Only the Ring Finger Knows' for manga. Mainly, I have VNs on my computer. *insert sheepish laugh*

Admittedly, my dirty little love though is the high school romance or office affair. Manga or VN, series or one-shot, you will always get my interest if I can relate to atleast ONE of the characters. Any adult-themed material is dependant on whether I like the art. Story be damned; if the art is good, I'll read it/buy it!
Shh! Angel is sleeping. XD

I like my gayness in both flavors, yup.

I've found that I like more plot in my Yuri though. Yaoi can be either or, as long as it's not just porn (though there is a time and a place for that too.)

I should probably add that switches = best.

I like both, but I think I prefer BL. And I like the idea of yaoi, but the actual work I've seen? And the fandom? It's a shame.
GL's so sweet, though. And you can pull off the syrupy-sugary sweetness in GL, too. It doesn't work as well in BL.

So. In my BL I love twincest (not so much in GL). And I'm something of a shotacon, so... I guess I like BL with guys between the ages of 10-13. My guilty pleasure. I'm so ashamed of it. GL doesnt matter.

I've read more GL than BL, but I haven't read either in a long time.
